LARK welcomes Dr. Oded Schein!
The transaction and tax expert Dr. Oded Schein has joined the Business Law Powerhouse LARK. He was most recently head of the German tax and fund practice at Goodwin Procter and will join LARK as a partner.
Dr. Oded Schein began his career at Kirkland & Ellis, where he was appointed equity partner in 2015 and took over as head of the German tax practice two years later. With the addition of this experienced transaction lawyer, LARK is continuing its dynamic growth trajectory.
Dr. Oded Schein has been advising on transaction law and, in particular, German and international tax law for around 20 years and has an excellent network in the private equity scene. He has extensive experience from numerous cross-border transactions, mergers, and acquisitions, most recently advising the US medical technology company Teleflex Incorporated on the acquisition of the vascular intervention business of BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG for USD 760 million.
In addition, Dr. Oded Schein focuses on corporate restructuring in crisis situations, an area of expertise he already established during his time as a tax partner at Kirkland & Ellis.
At LARK, Dr. Oded Schein will strengthen the private equity practice group and continue to focus on his previous areas of expertise at the interface between transaction and tax law.
“I am very much looking forward to joining LARK's highly competent and experienced team and accompanying the firm's further growth,” says Dr. Oded Schein about his move to LARK. Dr. Ludger Schult, LARK co-founder and private equity partner, adds: "With Dr. Oded Schein, we are gaining a top-class expert for our growing transaction and tax practice. We are very much looking forward to working with him."

LARK advises Archetype on its investment in TACEO

TACEO’s ‘private shared state’ infrastructure solves the long-considered unsolvable dilemma between data protection and usage. World, the company founded by OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman, has been using this technology for two years.

Business Law Powerhouse LARK provided comprehensive advice to Archetype on this transaction together with US law firm Cooley. Dr Daniel Gubitz and Dr Janosch Engelhardt (both Corporate Law/Venture Capital) led the transaction on LARK’s side.
