Kirstin is a Senior Associate at LARK. She advises creditors, companies and financial investors on complex domestic and cross-border financings, refinancings and financial restructurings, with a particular focus on acquisition financings, special situations as well as amend-and-extend transactions, including in stressed and distressed situations.

Prior to joining LARK, Kirstin worked as an Associate in the Debt Finance practice at Kirkland & Ellis in Munich.

Kirstin studied law at Georg August University of Göttingen and spent an exchange semester at the Faculty of Law of Savitribai Phule Pune University in India. She completed her legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Celle, including a secondment in London.

Kirstin’s practice includes advising on the restructuring and recapitalization of companies facing financial distress, the implementation of new money solutions and the negotiation of amendments and extensions of existing debt instruments.

Another part of Kirstin’s practice consists of advising private equity sponsors and alternative capital providers such as credit funds or hedge funds on acquisition financings, special situation financings and other debt instruments.

In her free time, Kirstin enjoys staying active and spends a great deal of time in the mountains around Munich. In addition to her passion for sports and Icelandic horses, she loves to travel. At least once a year, she trades the Alps for the wind, open horizons, and a good book on an East Frisian island in the North Sea.
